Meuhedet is the third-largest health maintenance organization (HMO) in Israel, serving over a million clients from all sectors across the country. Eyal Gabai is Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Uzi Bitan is the CEO. Meuhedet, with nearly 90 years of experience, was founded in 1974 through the merger of two veteran HMOs, Amamit and Merkazit. Amamit was founded by Hadassah in 1931 for the Farmers' Union and the National Farmers' Association to provide medical services for the agricultural settlements of the pre-State of Israel "Yishuv." Merkazit was founded five years (in 1935) later by the General Zionist Workers' Organization to provide medical care to independent and hired employees in the cities, and freelance professionals joined later.
Today, Meuhedet operates four district administrative offices and over 300 clinics throughout Israel, most of which have an adjacent laboratory. We employ some 4,000 doctors, operate tens of pharmacies, and offer services such as imaging (X-rays, ultrasound, mammograms), child development, physical therapy, gynecology, diabetes, and cardiology - in dozens of institutes throughout the country.
Meuhedet's allied medicine clinics offer treatments and workshops overseen by a physician. Our chain of dental clinics has branches throughout Israel and offers a varied range of treatments for all ages and issues. Meuhedet also offers workshops on topics such as how to stop smoking, childbirth and parenting, proper nutrition, learning and developmental disabilities, physical activities, movement, and first aid.
Meuhedet operates the "Neve Amit" chain of assisted living residences and nursing hospitals for senior citizens, and two hotels, the Bali Tiberias, and the Canaan Spa Hotel in Tsafat.

My Meuhedet (website) - Our portfolio of online services which allows you to perform all the operations on the website and app such as locating services, scheduling appointments, receiving prescriptions, receiving digitally-signed referrals and confirmations from your family doctor, pediatrician, or gynecologist, receiving lab test results, and more.
Meuhedet's online home laboratory: Home tests with the results analyzed through your cell phone according to clinical parameters and identical to tests performed at the lab.
For your use - a visit without your Meuhedet card can be generated through a single button on the app or by dialing *9727. Please note, it is required that you call from your telephone number, which is registered in the Meuhedet system.
