Rights and services for Holocaust survivors
Meuhedet supports its Holocaust survivor clients and offers them unique services that are delivered out of an appreciation, sensitivity and in-depth knowledge of their situation and needs. Among the services:
A dedicated call center for Holocaust survivors at: 077-20703757
Proactive location of Holocaust survivors in Meuhedet, who are in a complex medical state, as well as proactive location of Holocaust survivors who have not been in touch with anyone from the medical staff over the past year.
Assisting the survivor population in exhausting their rights within and outside of Meuhedet.

Information regarding rights and services for Holocaust survivors

Exemption from payment for medications for Holocaust survivors
Holocaust survivors are eligible for exemption from payment for medications that are in the medicine basket. Survivors recognized as disabled by virtue of the Persons Disabled in War against the Nazis Law or by virtue of the Persons Disabled by Nazi Persecutions Law are exempt from payment for medicines that are not in the medicine basket, if they are intended for treatment of the injury in regards to which the survivor was recognized as disabled.
The Fund for the Welfare of Holocaust Victims in Israel
provides assistance in the following areas:
· Short-term nursing care at a scope of 50 hours, if the person is not eligible for care under the nursing Law from the National Insurance Institute and on condition that he/she meets the criteria of eligibility. For assistance, please contact the social worker at the clinic or at the hospital department (in the event of hospitalization).
· An addition of nine weekly hours of nursing care for patients approved for the National Insurance nursing benefit at a scope of at least 150%. Please contact the social worker at the clinic or at the welfare department, for additional hours
· Help with renovating the apartment
· Help with the purchase of glasses

Psychological support for Holocaust survivors
There are three main organizations providing individual or group therapy for Holocaust Survivors; the treatment is provided free of charge and requires approval from the Holocaust Survivors Authority. In cases in which the Holocaust survivor is confined to his/her home, the psychological treatment can be provided at home.
