A client who is in need of a hearing aid must bring the test results and consultation summary to the clinic. The clinic will issue a financial undertaking form for the hearing aid supplier (further information regarding the eligibility for hearing aids here). The only hearing aid suppliers Meuhedet works with are Steiner and Medtechnica Aortofon, both of which have branches nationwide.
Tel.: Steiner - 1700-500-315; Medtechnica Aortofon - 1700-700-637
Once you have chosen a supplier, bring the results of the hearing test and the financial undertaking form to the supplier of your choice. Finding the optimal fit for the hearing aid can at times require several meetings with the speech therapist. After the device has been fit, you will be given the hearing aid for a trial period of up to 45 days.
Purchasing the hearing aid - if at the end of the trial period you are satisfied, you will be asked to sign a form stating that you want the device (if you are not satisfied, return the device to the institute). If you want to change the recommended device category you can request a financial undertaking form for a different category (subject to copayment in accordance with the eligibility).
